Hotel Accommodations

The meeting is scheduled to be held at the Crown Plaza (an IHG Hotel) – Albany – The Desmond Hotel, located at 660 Albany Shaker Road, Albany, NY 12211. To reserve your room, attendees must call 518-869-8100 and ask for the group rate, “IAA”.

Attendee Registration
All attendees must be registered with the IAABO office via the IAABO website. Please click here to register for the meeting. Attendees who do not register on the website may not receive a name badge and lanyard.

 

The Registration Desk will be staffed as follows:
Thursday, September 12th, 1 – 5 p.m.
Friday, September 13th, 8 a.m. – 11 a.m. and 1:30 – 5 p.m.
Saturday, September 14th, 8 – 10 a.m., (If necessary)

Hospitality Room
Topping off your day and evening of enjoyment will be the traditional “IAABO Roger J. Sheridan Hospitality Room”, named after the famed IAABO Past President (1965-66) from the State of Vermont. The hospitality room will be the place for everyone to renew old friendships and to make many new ones.

The Roger J. Sheridan Hospitality Room will be open to IAABO members and their guest as follows:
Wednesday, September 11th; 6 – 10 p.m.
Thursday, September 12th, 5 – 11 p.m.
Friday, September 13th, 5 – 11 p.m.
Saturday, September 14th, 9 – 11 p.m.

A continental breakfast will be provided Friday through Sunday mornings. The Hospitality Suite will not be open during the meeting sessions and the Life Membership Ceremony on Saturday night.

 

Golf Outing
The 2024 IAABO Golf Outing will take place on Thursday, September 12th. The outing will take place at the Schenectady Municipal Golf Course. The course opened in 1935. It was designed by A.F. Knight and Jim Thomas and largely funded by the Federal Emergency Relief Administration (FERA) and the Civil Works Administration (CWA), both predecessors of the well-known Works Progress Administration. Schenectady Municipal Golf Course stretches to 6600 yards (6000 m) and features fast undulating greens and tight fairways blanketed within grasses and native vegetation. Shotgun start is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. with registration taking place from 7:00 a.m. to 8 a.m. The cost for this event is $100.00. Click here for a registration form. Spouse/Guest Breakfast
On Friday morning, September 13th, will be the annual IAABO Spouse and Guest Breakfast for your significant other. Breakfast will begin at 9:00 a.m. and there is no charge for one guest who pre-registers prior to Friday, August 30, 2024. Additional guests may register at a cost of $25.00 per person. Life Membership Ceremony
The annual IAABO Life Membership ceremony will take place on Saturday evening, September 14, 2024. The cost of the event is $50.00. Five individuals will be honored with IAABO Life Membership. Click here for a registration form.
