43rd Year of IAABO Officials’ Schools
IAABO will host two officials’ schools at Albright University this summer.
Both are expected to sell-out. The first session will be held June 28-30, 2024 and the second session will be held July 26-28, 2024.
The goal of the IAABO Officials’ School is “professional improvement” for all attendees.
The desire to improve must always be present if one wants to achieve success as an official.
Over the past century, the many and varied continuous education materials and officials’ schools that IAABO has provided have assisted thousands of new and veteran officials learn and refine their skills.
IAABO Schools are designed to provide officials of varying ability and experience with the individual attention to meet their specific needs. The main focus of these schools revolves around in-depth reviews of rules, mechanics, signaling techniques and professionalism. At IAABO schools, officials can expect to receive quality instruction on the court and in the classroom from some of the organization’s top clinicians. They will receive instant feedback, including video, which they can leverage to improve their officiating immediately.
IAABO Officials’ Schools are dedicated to improving the officiating skills of the men and women who enroll. The program is designed to benefit those who wish to embark upon a career in officiating as well as those who seek refinement of their skills.
Classroom sessions cover all aspects of officiating with lectures, video breakdowns, workshops and testing. Each official receives a certificate denoting completion of the course of study provided by the IAABO Officials’ school. Only high school rules and mechanics are taught and used.
You must have at least one year of officiating experience to attend an IAABO Officials’ School.
