Community Involvement
Officials vs. Cancer
The Officials vs. Cancer campaign is an annual initiative that supports the Coaches vs. Cancer program, a collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) to increase cancer awareness and promote healthy living through year-round awareness efforts, fundraising activities and advocacy programs.
Since the Officials vs. Cancer program began in 2007, officials from the International Association of Approved Basketball Officials (IAABO) worldwide have united to raise over $4 million to combat cancer. Through their collective efforts, IAABO officials have significantly contributed to enhancing the lives of individuals affected by cancer.
Elevance

The training offer participants earning opportunities and helps them build critical work and leadership skills.
Elevance Health, the parent company of Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, has ongoing training opportunities with IAABO in eight cities: Charleston and Huntington, West Virginia; Cleveland; Newark, New Jersey; Atlanta; South Bend, Indiana; Milwaukee; and Washington, D.C.
