The Value of IAABO Membership

Every official wants to be prepared, confident, and connected when stepping on the court. That is exactly where IAABO membership makes a difference. It is more than simply paying annual dues; it is an investment in your development, your protection, and your connection to the officiating community.

For one annual cost, members gain access to a complete package of resources, including the IAABO Handbook, insurance coverage, learning opportunities in our all-new IAABO Central platform, Sportorials, Inside the Lines, the IAABO website, and the guidance of Interpreters who help officials stay sharp on rules, mechanics, and current points of emphasis.

Taken together, these benefits help officials at every level. The handbook and educational materials give you a dependable foundation. Publications such as Sportorials and Inside the Lines keep you informed throughout the year.  Online access and Interpreter support make it easier to ask good questions, stay current, and bring consistency to every game assignment.

The value becomes even clearer when you consider the cost. At $35, IAABO membership delivers a collection of benefits that would cost far more if officials tried to gather comparable resources on their own.

Think of it like buying a car. You would never go to the parts department and purchase the engine, wheels, seats, wiring, and frame one piece at a time if you wanted the best value. IAABO membership works the same way. Each benefit matters, but the real advantage comes from having the complete package working together.

For officials who care about improving, staying informed, and serving the game the right way, IAABO membership remains a smart and practical choice. It brings education, communication, protection, and support together in one affordable membership.

If you are already a member, renew with confidence and continue taking advantage of everything IAABO offers. If you are considering membership for the first time, there has never been a better time to join. Stay connected, keep learning, and be part of an organization committed to helping officials succeed on and off the court.
