Backcourt Throw-ins (Co2)
(IAABO Manual pg. 47-48)
When the throw-in is along the end line, the Trail shall be between the thrower and the nearer sideline. The ball may be bounced to thrower. The new Lead should read the situation and provide appropriate coverage when action in the backcourt dictates.
When the ball is awarded on the sideline opposite to where the Lead official is positioned, the Lead moves across the court to become the new Trail and administer the throw-in, from the designated spot in the backcourt. The new Lead moves to the opposite sideline to provide boxing-in coverage.
