Throw-in Frontcourt End Line Option (Co2, Co3)
(IAABO Manual pgs. 46 & 118)
The Lead has the option of being positioned between the thrower and the sideline or the thrower and the basket, whichever provides the best coverage. When the throw-in spot is at or outside the three-point arc, the Lead should position themselves inside the thrower in order to maintain an open view of the lane area.

The Lead should also avoid being positioned in the free throw lane extended area, as this may lead to a straight-lined view of the players in the lane.

In addition, it is acceptable for the Lead to hand or bounce the ball to the thrower. This will allow the Lead the flexibility to determine how best to be positioned during the throw-in.  This determination may vary depending on whether they are in a Crew of 2 or Crew of 3 and the tendencies of the throw-in team.
